For their trouble the family will receive £11,250 and a contribution from Epson to the charity of their choice. The family members will also be showered with Epson kit including cameras, printers, scanners and projectors to allow them to transmit their own pictures onto the online channel. Only the cynical would conclude that Epson will ensure that the kit is left lying prominently around the home for maximum product placement.
Epson will be scouring the country from 10 centres including Southampton, Bristol, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, Norwich and London for potential victims...sorry...candidates. Those who wish to volunteer can go to http://www.the-epson-family.com, although this site wasn't live at the time of writing.
