Panic reigns at Apple OS X awards 11:01AM, Friday 10th June 2005
Apple has announced the winners of its 2005 design awards, which recognise the best in software innovation for the Mac.

The Best OS X Tiger Technology Adoption award went to Panic, for its Transmit FTP client, with iSale, for managing eBay auctions, the runner-up.

Plasq's Comic Life was named Best Product New to Mac OS X. The application lets users turn their digital images into comic strips. The books, movies, music and games catalogue software, Delicious Library, was runner-up.

MacKiev's 3D Weather Globe & Atlas Mac OS X Edition.

Other winners and runners up include World of Warcraft, Jammin' Racer, OsiriX, Blender, DataTank, GraphClick and iMap.

Special mentions were made of OmniOutliner, eDrawings for Mac 2006, Mathematica and Sonic Birth.

Winners received a 17in PowerBook, a Power Mac G5 with 30in Cinema HD Display and Premier Membership of the Apple Developer Connection.
