The updates fix several Boot Camp, start up, and wake-from-sleep issues and are available from apple.com/support/downloads.
The instructions accompanying the patches should be followed to the letter, lest you need the updated version of the Firmware Restoration CD software, which is to be used after an interrupted or failed firmware update.
Anyone using Boot Camp to run Windows Vista should be prepared to reinstall Vista after running the EFI update.
As Christopher Price notes on the PCS Intel forum: 'The Apple CSM (Boot Camp) runtimes have changed, and because Vista is semi-EFI and GPT sensitive... changing those runtimes fries the install. The good news is that Apple made these changes now so that when Vista comes out users won't have to reinstall.'
