Adobe supports images in the RAW
12:33PM, Monday 21st February 2005
Adobe has updated support for RAW images files in both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
The update adds support for importing RAW images from new Canon and Konica Minolta cameras. In addition Photoshop users can install the DNG Converter, which converts RAW images from more than 70 cameras into the DNG or digital negative format.
RAW images are, as the name suggests, photographs that have been neither compressed, filtered or had any effects applied. Each camera's format is slightly different, which drove Adobe to develop DNG as a open format for camera and software developers to use.
All updates can be downloaded from www.adobe.com/support/downloads.
