The 'reality' TV show - won by someone called Cameron, apparently - pipped Christina Aguilera to the top spot, the singer having not even made the top ten in June. David Beckham's departure to Spain seems to have already had an effect on his popularity back home as he disappeared from the top ten, although he may be consoled by his number one spot in Spain.
The remainder of the UK top ten were, from third down, cheap flights, easyjet, McDonalds, India, Eminem, Argos, Ryanair and EastEnders. Only cheap flights and Eminem survive from June.
The UK's lack of interest in sports at which it isn't very good is reflected in the absence of the Tour de France from the list, although it and winner Lance Armstrong dominated elsewhere. Except in Australia, despite native Baden Cooke winning the points competition.
