Steve Jobs has received some good news at last. He was wearing his Apple hat last month as the company announced a quarterly loss of $45 million. Yesterday, he donned his - presumably computer generated - Pixar hat to announce that he was 'thrilled' to report the most profitable quarter in the company's history.
Higher-than-expected sales of 25 million copies of the Monsters Inc video drove revenues up from $11.3m in Q4 2001 to $102.5m in Q4 2002, yielding a $46.9m profit. Nice work if you can get it.
