Upgrade card manufacturer PowerLogix, has announced iForce, its 400 or 500MHz G4 upgrade for iMacs.
The card replaces the existing G3 processor card in the early iMac models ö Bondi Blue and the first generations of the five fruit coloured models running at 233, 266 and 333MHz. PowerLogix claims that upgraded iMacs will be able to maximise the performance of applications such as Photoshop that has been optimised to run with the G4's Velocity Engine.
Installation is a simple process of removing the existing processor card from its socket and pushing in its replacement.
