2:32PM, Wednesday 7th February 2001
QPS has released its M2 QuadSlim! Portable FireWire hard drives, first unveiled at Macworld San Francisco.
The 6, 10, 20, 30GB drives feature three FireWire ports so up to five can be stacked one on another. QPS is also set to release its 2U-10Bay rack which will enable up to 10 drives to be stacked; the four-drive 1U-4Bay will also be available.
The drives are supplied with a suction cup that allows them to be fixed to any smooth surface and with a belt clip and are shock protected. They are bundled with Que! D2D software which converts DV video from camcorders into MPEG-2 format for storage and playback.
