Cut and paste "low priority" on iPhone
8:38AM, Tuesday 15th July 2008
Cut and paste is absent from the iPhone because Apple had other priorities, hardware marketing chief Greg Joswiak has revealed.
Speaking briefly to ExtremeTech, Joswiak said Apple has nothing against cut and paste, it just considered other features to be more important.
However it seems that cut and paste is on the "to do" list, so it may appear in a future revision of the iPhone software.
Joswiak also revealed that "complicated issues" prevented the implementation of driving directions using the new iPhone's GPS capabilities. Again he hinted that it is something for the future.
