The iPhone Dev Team grabbed a copy of the v2.0 software from Apple's servers and Gizmodo reports that the jailbroken software is working on an unsanctioned carrier - Vodafone UK - with support for push email and applications from the new App Store.
Apple has yet to formally release the 2.0 software for existing iPhone and iPod touch users - we can only presume that it is waiting for the work on MobileMe to be completed. However an update for the iPhone only is tucked away on Apple's servers, and those brave enough to have installed it report that everything seems to be functioning as expected.
iPhone Dev Team expects to release their jailbreak tool once Apple has released 2.0 through iTunes' update feature.
