Amongst the new apps is an AIM client, bringing instant messaging to Apple's mobile devices, and tools for accessing and editing popular social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
RSS addicts get a mobile version of NetNewsWire, photographers get mobile access to sites such as Flickr and Photobucket, while those seeking distraction have dozens of games to choose from. Twitter fans have Twitterific.
iBeer lets you brew and drink beer (not literally, natch), while Light turns the iPhone or iPod into a torch.
You can even read books. eReader provides access to eBooks from a number of best selling authors, including Stephen King and Michael Crichton.
The App Store is not currently listed on the iTunes Store homepage, but it can be viewed via this link. Apps will not transfer to or work on the iPhone or iPod touch until Apple releases the new v2.0 software for the mobile devices.
