UPDATED 2: MobileMe launch put back two hours
12:14PM, Thursday 10th July 2008
Apple has put back the launch of MobileMe by a couple of hours.
The company had initially scheduled the transition from .Mac to begin at 2am this morning (BST), for completion by 8am. However shortly before the switch was du to begin, it updated the status message at mac.com to tell subscribers that the transition would begin two hours later, ending at 10am.
As promised, .Mac email continues to be delivered during the transition, Apple having enabled me.com addresses in advance, but other .Mac services are offline.
UPDATE: MobileMe is now live at me.com.
UPDATE 2: No sooner had it gone live, than it disappeared again. Early attempts to connect were met with "timed out" errors.
