Apple strikes twice in top 100 shops list 9:42AM, Thursday 3rd July 2008
Apple's Regent Street store is one of the 100 shops you must visit in 2008.

The London flagship is joined by the glass cube Apple store on New York's Fifth Avenue in the list compiled by Retail Week.

Reviewers praised Apple for delivering a shop that is very simple, has a great range, excellent service and where everything is laid out easily, while the Manhattan cube "represents the transparency of the retailer itself and the design is in line with the DNA of the brand".

Unsurprisingly, no other bricks-and-mortar computer retailer made the list, though Amazon was included among a handful of "essential" online destinations.

Retail Week has the complete list of 100 shops you must visit 2008.
