Microsoft releases Mac-to-PC remote desktop tools 9:56AM, Wednesday 2nd July 2008
Microsoft has finally released the new version of Remote Desktop Client, after almost a year of public beta testing.

The software enables Macs to remotely connect to Windows PCs, the most significant change in this, version 2, is support for Windows Vista. Microsoft's Mac Business Unit has also overhauled the interface, provided support for both PowerPC and Intel Macs, and added the ability connect to multiple Windows PCs at the same time.

beta test comprising 750,000 downloads, Microsoft has not yet fixed all the bugs. Known issues include possible freezes, misrepresented Mac volume names and problems with printers connected to a machine running Vista SP1.

Remote Desktop Client 2 is a free download; all new features are listed in the release notes.
