Apple takes iTunes TV to Australia 8:31AM, Wednesday 25th June 2008
Apple has begun selling television programmes in Australia, the sixth country to join the iTunes TV store.

Shows from Australian and US broadcasters are available at A$2.99 each, which at under £1.50 makes them not inconsiderably cheaper than the £1.89 Apple charges in the UK.

Apple is now selling TV shows in the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany and Australia, while its movie store now encompasses the first three of those countries.

The debut of the Australian TV store follows the opening last week of the country's first retail store, in Sydney.
