The Best Leopard User Experience Award went to the little known Macnification, an Aperture-style application for managing scientific images. The Checkout point-of-sale software was runner-up.
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock beat Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars to the best game gong, while ScreenFlow reigned again in the Graphics and Media category, edging out FotoMagic.
Concluding the Leopard awards, Axel Péju picked up the Best Student Product prize for his Squirrel financial management app.
2008 is the first year that iPhone and iPod touch developers have been recognised. Remember The Milk was named Best iPhone Web Application for its powerful online task

And finally, the iPhone Developer Showcase recognised 3D puzzle game Pangea, MIM, a medical imaging app, Twitter-client Twitterrific, AOL Radio and OmniFocus, a task manager based on the desktop app of the same name.
