UPDATED: Photoshop Express gets Flickr support 8:02AM, Monday 12th May 2008
Adobe is preparing a major update to its Photoshop Express beta, its photo editing web application, adding two of the most requested features: Flickr integration and a Save As option.

Users can now upload photos to Flickr or download imgaes for editing in Photoshop Express, which already integrates with other photo sharing sites such as Facebook, Photobucket and Picasa.

The Save As feature allows users to save multiple versions of an image in addition to the original version.

Adobe has also added embeddable player, which lets users post their slideshows to Facebook, MySpace, and other sites.

says that hundreds of thousands of internet users have tried out the beta, which was unveiled in March.

"We're overwhelmed by the positive response to the Photoshop Express beta and all the people who are actively editing and showing off their photos," said Doug Mack, vice president of Consumer and Hosted Solutions at Adobe. "Photoshop Express will continue to evolve over time as we listen to user feedback and build a complete hosted solution that gives people the right balance of performance, convenience and that 'wow-factor' that makes their photos stand out from the rest."

The update was to have been uploaded yesterday, 7 May, but the last minute discovery of a bug has put it briefly on hold.

UPDATE: Adobe has fixed the bug and the new features are now live at photoshop.com/express.
