The 90-second limit is designed to restrict posted clips to those taken by Flickr users.
"Flickr is all about sharing photos that you yourself have taken," explained Flickr community manager Heather Champ. "Video will be no different and so what quickly bubbled up was the idea of 'long photos' of capturing slices of life to share."

Group admins can now include an option to add video to existing groups.
Flickr has also made a small change to its photo size limits, doubling the size of photos that can be uploaded to 20MB per photo for pro members and 10MB per photo for free accounts.
