Flickr does video 9:20AM, Wednesday 9th April 2008
Flickr now does video. Pro members of the photo-sharing website can post clips up to 90 seconds in length to be displayed alongside the still images in their Flickr collection.

The 90-second limit is designed to restrict posted clips to those taken by Flickr users.

"Flickr is all about sharing photos that you yourself have taken," explained Flickr community manager Heather Champ. "Video will be no different and so what quickly bubbled up was the idea of 'long photos' of capturing slices of life to share."

More information can be gleaned from the Video FAQ; sample videos can be viewed in the Video! Video! Video! group.

Group admins can now include an option to add video to existing groups.

Flickr has also made a small change to its photo size limits, doubling the size of photos that can be uploaded to 20MB per photo for pro members and 10MB per photo for free accounts.
