iLife Support 8.2 updates system components shared by the iLIfe applications - iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iWeb, iDVD and .Mac Web Gallery - to improve stability and performance. The 9.7MB update is available via Software Update or from apple.com/support/downloads.

has also added new features to .Mac Web Galleries - an extra iLife feature for .Mac subscribers.

Users can now choose to let visitors download full-size JPEGs or images optimised for 16x20in prints, andthey can publish standalone, private albums for that do not appear on the Web Gallery home page. RSS support now includes a single feed for all galleries, and movies can now be password protected.

The new Apple TV software introduces the redesigned interface that enables the viewing of .Mac and Flickr photo galleries and buy iTunes music downloads direct from the Apple TV box. But it is primarily aimed at US users, since it adds support for the new iTunes Movie Rentals service and for downloading movies to its hard drive. Music and movies can then be synced back to iTunes on a Mac (or PC). The update is available from the Software Update option in the Apple TV's Settings menu.
