Coherence makes Windows and Linux applications appear as though they are native to the Mac, although under the surface it really only punches a hole through the OS X graphical environment to isolate and show just the active Windows or Linux window.

Parallels Desktop also includes a new migration tool called Transporter that makes it easy to convert existing Virtual PC and VMWare virtual machines for use in Parallels.
Parallels Desktop 2 is compatible with the recently-launched Windows Vista, and has improved support for USB 2.0, CD and DVD burning, and support for Boot Camp partitions, allowing users to run a previously-installed Boot Camp partition without restarting their Macs.
Parallels Desktop costs £49.98, and requires and Intel-based Mac. It can be downloaded from Avanquest Software.
