Adobe ships Lightroom, updates Photoshop Raw support 9:57AM, Monday 19th February 2007
Adobe has begun shipping its Photoshop Lightroom digital darkroom software.

Version 1.0 was announced last month, following several heavily subscribed beta releases, and provides a set of tools for managing digital photography workflows and non-destructive editing. The software is also closely integrated with Photoshop for pixel-level image editing.

is available for £146.88 (£125 ex VAT), until 30 April 2007, after which it is expected to retail for £205.62 (£175 ex VAT).

Adobe has also update its Camera Raw plugin which provides supports the raw image formats of more than 150 cameras in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements. The 3.7 update adds support for applying default image settings specific to a camera serial number and applying default image settings specific to a camera ISO setting. The additional criteria are located in the Camera Raw preferences and the default settings, including the global auto preference, are now shared with Adobe's DNG Converter software

The new plugin also provides compatibility with Photoshop Lightroom 1.0.
