'In June, the center of the Mac universe will be in downtown San Francisco,' it reveals on the Apple Developer Connection pages. 'Don't miss this opportunity to connect with Apple engineers, get a firsthand look at the latest technology, and spend a week getting the kind of inspiration you won't find anywhere else.'
WWDC is an important date in all Apple developers' calendars, as it is the first chance many will have to test new API hooks that allow them to write code that integrates with OS X's core features. For end users, it also often means an excuse to spend, spend, spend as it is more often than not the venue for high-end hardware announcements, which in the past have included the Power Mac G5, and the controversial - although ultimately highly successful - switch to Intel processors.
Tickets for the event, which runs from 11 to 15 June, cost £699 including a £100 discount for early registration, although buying four tickets for £2796, earns you a fifth one free.
