Parallels announces Desktop for Mac Beta2
4:56PM, Friday 22nd December 2006
Parallels has announced an updated beta for Parallels Desktop for Mac. The company's desktop virtualisation software enables Mac users to run Windows, Linux and other operating systems alongside OS X.
New features, according to Parallels, include USB 2.0 support (for the likes of printers and scanners, not 'isynchronous' Bluetooth devices or webcams), a fully-featured virtual CD/DVD drive (for playing copy-protected CD or DVDs), and improved 'Coherence mode' (that lets you run Windows applications without seeing Windows).
There is also better support for using Boot Camp partitions, with full support for both FAT32 and NTFS partitions.
You can download Beta2 from here.
