While most of the laser models share an engine with other units on the market, the Ricoh is a bit of a wild card, with an unusual sit-up-and-beg form factor and idiosyncratic consumable arrangements. Output quality is average but acceptable. Unfortunately, it takes donkey's years to warm up and the price, which includes a paltry 32Mb of RAM, is on a par with the vastly better-equipped Minolta-QMS.
