A healthy working environment

Screen
1 As we make the move from televisionstyle CRT monitors to flat-panel displays, the problem of reflections is becoming less common, but it's still important to avoid having excessive light falling on your screen. Your monitor or panel should be positioned away from direct sunlight as much as possible to ensure that you get a clear view of the image and can control readability using manual controls or the adjustments built into Mac OS X. The best policy is to try to keep windows to either side, as a window behind will throw distracting light, while one ahead of you will cause a silhouette effect that could strain your eyes. The upper portion of your screen should always be positioned around eye level. This helps to save you from straining your neck to read across its full surface.
