Like Pixelgirl Presents, this little-known site hosts a small selection of very high-quality icons. The difference with widget:widget is that it's not an open forum to which designers can submit their creations.

The main draw is the stunning Magnum Opus collection, showcased in MacUser (see Magnum Opus, 16 April 2004, p70), in which every piece of Apple kit has been lovingly rendered in a 128 x 128 pixel grid. We're not just talking the odd Power Mac and iPod; every little accessory is included, from the Duo Dock to the iPod Dock.

Once you've digested this masterpiece, however, there's little else. Happily, the quality remains consistent throughout, with care and attention being put into everything from The Lord of the Rings to an elegant Christmas set.

Ultimately, widget:widget is let down by its relatively small catalogue of icons, but the superb Magnum Opus goes a long way to redeeming it.
