This site has grown out of the old www.xicons.com site, and now offers desktop patterns and themes with which you can alter the appearance of OS X, as well as an enormous range of icons.
Navigation is good, with icons being split by category or artist. The search tool depends on the sometimes slightly odd information associated with each icon set, making tracking down particular icons a little hit-and-miss.
There's plenty of useful information in the FAQ section, with guides to, for example, creating icons that feature the recognisable Aqua transparent glow.
Unfortunately, while InterfaceLIFT boasts a huge catalogue of icons, the quality often slips below par. It's an open community that welcomes both professionals and amateurs, and many of the icon sites presented neither conform to Apple's interface guidelines nor look attractive.
However, it's a worthwhile resource if you're looking for something unusual.
