Depositit offers two packages at sign-up: a 250MB 'light user' option, and a 2GB 'standard' package. If you require more storage, the service can provide more - up to 40GB, although this will set you back £600 per year. The service will upgrade you automatically, which means you should keep an eye on how much data you're backing up if you don't want an unexpectedly high bill.

If you're able to keep within 250MB, the low-cost service offers decent value, although the 10GB service from BackUpMyStuff is better value on a per-gigabyte basis. What lets Depositit down is the client software, which is clunky-looking and not very powerful. It lacks the ability to select an entire folder but then exclude specific files within it, and there's no obvious indication of how large the backup you're doing is. Overall, it's the software that prevents us from recommending Depositit.
