It uses two Ni-MH AA batteries, making it a bulky 210g. The price is slightly steep for the 4megapixel CCD and 3x optical zoom - and only a 16MB SD card is bundled. Startup is quick and the interface intuitive. There are a few manual features and we liked the 30fps movie mode. Macro ability is below average. Both outdoor and indoor quality was reasonably good from the Leica lens, with good exposures on the whole. But, in this company, the Lumix is too expensive to recommend. Sponsored Links
