PC Pro Awards 2009: Web hosts
WINNER: Memset
This is now four wins in a row for British web host Memset, which has a clear focus on businesses rather than consumers (though it does sell to consumers as well). Memset's prices aren't the lowest, but it blasts all the opposition away when it comes to customer support and reliability, which is why 95% of its customers would recommend the company to friends - compared to the industry average of 83%.

Like Memset, Fast2Host is a British company focused on providing web hosting with top support. And it shows in its results, with 95.8% of its customers happy to recommend Fast2Host to friends and colleagues. Just one highlight is a 92% satisfaction rating for customer support - compared to the industry average of 78%Categories

The star ratings above are based on PC Pro's Reliability & Service 2009 survey, which took place between May and August 2009. This year, over 14,000 readers took part: we asked about the customer support they received, the reliability and quality of the products they bought, and whether they'd buy from the company again. We then combined all this information to produce a star rating, and the company with the highest rating wins. If any companies were close runners-up, they win a Highly Commended award. Note that for the results to be statistically valid, we need 100 people to have given their feedback on the company. This is why many smaller companies aren't included in the table.
