PC Pro Awards 2008: Printers
WINNER: Canon
To take top prize here, Canon had to excel for its inkjets, lasers and all its many multifunction devices – and that's precisely what it did. Print quality was uniformly praised, with a mere three customers (out of 1,206) expressing any dissatisfaction. Couple that with chart-topping reliability, and it's obvious why Canon takes the winner's medal.
Highly Commended: Brother, Samsung
Both Brother and Samsung specialise in lasers, and as we counted running costs in companies' value for money rating it's perhaps no surprise they were the leading lights in this area. Both also scored well for print quality and reliability, with over 90% of their customers happy to buy from them again. Epson and HP narrowly missed out on awards too.Categories

The star ratings above are based on PC Pro\'s Reliability & Service 2008 survey, which took place between May and August 2008. This year, almost 15,000 readers took part: we asked about the customer support they received, the reliability and quality of the products they bought, and whether they\'d buy from the company again. We then combined all this information to produce a star rating, and the company with the highest rating wins. If any companies were close runners-up, they win a Highly Commended award. Note that for the results to be statistically valid, we need 100 people to have given their feedback on the company. This is why many smaller companies aren\'t included in the table.
