PC Pro Awards 2008: Hardware of the Year
WINNER: Asus Eee PC
The voting was fierce on this one, as our judges locked horns to decide which piece of hardware was truly the most impressive seen in our Labs in the past 12 months. It was a close-run thing, but the latest versions of Asus' Eee PC just grabbed the winner's prize, thanks to some audacious design and some even more audacious pricing.
Highly Commended: Apple iPhone 3G, Logitech Squeezebox Duet
You can't move for people showing off their iPhones, and the new 3G version makes browsing the web an even more pleasant experience. If it wasn't for the battery life, it may well have stolen top prize. Hot on its heels, though, was Logitech's Squeezebox Duet. "A simply stunning bit of kit," said one judge. "It's the pinnacle of audio streaming."Categories
