Pinball Cheats Adjustments more like

There are a number of ways that you can adjust Pinball ( Never accept that you are cheating )

1. Recover your old Rank ( Cadet, through to Fleet Admiral ) from a previous game
Start a new game and type immediately rmax Surprise you go up a level
2. Get an extra ball by typing 1max whilst the Awaiting Deployment message is being displayed
3. Activate the Gravity Well by starting a new game and immediately typing gmax.
4. Unlimited number of balls at a new game just type bmax every time you loose a ball a new one appears ( Sadly none of the other tips work when in this mode.
5. Use your mouse to control the ball in a new game by typing hidden test Now when you click the ball you can drag it anywhere. Cool !! yes?

Now someone is going to say where is the box which you type the text into ?
There is not one, you just type the text, and the tips work.

Now if you are playing against someone else would I suggest that when it is your turn that you cheat ? who would do a thing like that?

just to bump, as the link from the library no longer works after the update - again.

Does this mean I've got to run though every post & update the links - again?

I'm sure that there is a lot of interesting stuff in here, certainly Lindburgh has put a lot of work into it. But couldn't someone find a better place for it than the help forum, where both the Reference Library and the Comments and Queries are taking up two slots?

It's location annoys me anyway, how about a separate library for posts with stickies? There are FAR TOO MANY stickies anyway, so no one reads most of them.

Possibly the Comments could be moved to the Meeting Place, might not be such a pain as the links from the Library to it need sorting - again

Although, it's only the Index which has been stickied - the Library & the Comments are both floating as are the rest.
I'd say the Library and the Index are best left in the Help forum anyway, as they are mainly topics to help

PDF

Word documents allow editing and return, pdf docs are generally read only - editable fields can be placed in a pdf doc, but only with costly pdf writer software.
Most the pdf creator software is only printer drivers (print to file).

Scroll lock missing

And that is a pain as a lot of Laptops use that scroll lock key as the Function Key so it IS becoming used more when using an external keyboard. The thing is that those who drop the physical key, also drop the ability to create the KeyCode associated with it - and those CANNOT be recreated by an on-board keyboard NOR by software key mapping as the code is a hardware code.

My apologies as previously stated some of the recent tips were written years ago and after consultation with the moderators it was agreed to post them as they may be of use to some

I did check to see if the site was still available bu must confess that did not note that the last entry was so old.

However, one out of more than a thousand is not a bad batting average I think you will agree.

Is there any one else dissatisfied ?

Thank you anyway for using the Queries and comments page
Saves cluttering up the Library That is my responsibility I have to clutter it

I know you are reading my tips from your viewing numbers.
However, not one comment from you in 12 months
Sorry, with the exception of incognito which made me smile " Out of sell by Date "

I am still posting some of the old ones written years ago hope they are of value to some of you.

Do please make a comment occasionally even if is similar to Incognitos it brings a smile to my face, and with all the nasties around us these days there is precious little to smile about.

Thanking you in advance for complying with my request.

Oh ! please also remember the Moderators who do a wonderful job they would appreciate a thank you now and again.

There is too much nonsense here obscuring the useful stuff. I still feel that this is in the wrong place on the Help Forum.

Good idea to have a reference library, however in practice it's pretty unusable, which is a shame after all the work that has been put in.

Stoke, I agree about the place and format. A wiki would potentially work far, far better IMHO though it would have to be well-structured.
