The jumplist of XP apps already exists, so does the disable drive sharing option.

The only new one mentioned is the attaching of USB devices to Windows XP Mode apps directly from the Windows 7 taskbar.

I'm amazed ths XP can share files with 7 at all, or is it some special hacked about jobbie?

Certainly sharing files from a Windows 7 box is a horrid nightmare mostly spent disabling settings on Windows 7.

With virtualisation software, this is done by the software, you don't "share" folders in the normal way as if you were doing it over a network. Certainly with VirtualBox, it's very easy.

I have Windows 7 installed and a copy of Office 2000 installed in it (although I cannot yet get the Service Packs to install.

I have loaded files stored on my Windows XP data drive directly into Word in Windows 7.

I have also just install the Windows XP Mode into W7 and again installed a copy of Office 2000 and again read the same files.

The only thing I would say id the the XP Mode does seem a bit on the slow side.
