Tesco....!
Should have also said, got one, opened it up to find it's a seagate 340AS, the 32mb cache one that scan have for £91 standalone. It's like they're paying you to take the caddy off their hands.

I have mentioned this in the GTA IV thread but, as it is a bargain, I ought to list it here.
I just picked up Grand Theft Auto IV in Morrisons for £9.99.

Dont know if its been mentioned yet but I saw Red Alert 3 in my local Tesco for under £16. I'd have bought it but they'd sold out.
I'm mainly on X404

Any idea how big the filesize is? I might get away with it

well it need 7.5GB of hdd space... so i'm guessing the d/l will be about that...
can't you just get it on steam... then borrow a disk from someone to install it? that's what i did with the orange box...

You mean I could download it on another computer, then put it on a disk and install it elsewhere? I didn't think that was possible with Steam

no... i mean buy it from steam... don't dl it... then borrow a left 4 dead disk off someone and install the game using that... like i said... it worked for me with the orange box...
what i think you're thinking of is downloading it on someone else's pc... waste their download allowance... then use the 'backup game files' tool in steam... put back up on disk and 'restore' the backup on your pc... which should work in theory... though ive never done it...
another option would be to install steam on an external hdd [or a high >16GB Flash drive] dl it someone else pc... then copy and paste all the files into your steam directory on your pc... or run it from the external...

Thanks for the tip, it all sounds a bit complex to me though and all of my mates are console gamers
I think I'll just wait for the price to drop and buy it, I prefer having a disk & case anyway. I'm suprised the price hasn't come down already... still seems to be £27.00 everywhere

Where?

Amazingly enough, this is still available for £70 as of today 26th Feb:
That's £15 cheaper than Dabs. Now the price is good for me but...can I bring myself to swell Tesco's coffers...?
EDIT: No, I can't. I can't do business with Tesco, I just don't like Tesco.
