MSI's card uses the powerful, but reasonably priced GeForce 7600GT chipset and has 256MB of DDR3 memory onboard. For its price this card is a 3D monster. Our current Best Buy graphics card, the Inno3D GeForce 6800GS, is a budget force to be reckoned with, but the MSI was 35% faster.
There isn't much else in the MSI's box, apart from a couple of DVI to VGA convertors for those with older monitors. A welcome addition was a copy of the superb motor racing game GT Legends, which is a great way to demonstrate the card's 3D power.
At this price, the MSI takes our Best Buy crown, but it does have one annoying niggle. While we can appreciate that it needs good cooling, the fan installed is a whiny, noisy beast. If your PC is under your desk you might not notice it, but if you crave peace and quiet, you'd be well-advised to invest in a specialised passive cooler and silence it for good.
