The C3 isn't the nippiest chip in the world, but if you've got an older Socket 370 board that won't accept a new 1.4GHz Celeron, it could be the only upgrade available. Although it's no speed demon, you'll be able to do a bit of light 3D gaming, and it runs incredibly cool (the motherboard sensors couldn't properly read a temperature that low!), and it's pretty cheap. If you're building a new system go for the Duron, but if you want to upgrade an older Socket 370 PC, the VIA C3 isn't a bad choice.
