Making a computer game based on Transformers really shouldn't be hard. Giant battling shape-shifting robots is a pretty good premise, and a CGI-packed film must offer a few clues. Miraculously, these developers have screwed it up. All the things you'd expect are here, like destroying buildings and engaging in robotic fisticuffs. But none of it is very enjoyable. The missions are uninteresting, the racing elicits few thrills, and fights mean bashing a single button until you win. It looks good, but there's very little going on beneath the 3D veneer.
