Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix  [Computer Buyer]
COMPANY: EA PRICE: £25  inc VAT
RATING: ISSUE: 197  DATE: Oct 07

Verdict: The teen wizard waves his wand once more. Not perfect by any means, but there's fun to be had here and Potter fans will love it.

Oh joy, another piece of Potter merchandise. Electronic Arts' Potter games have exceeded expectations, though that wasn't hard given the propensity of movie tie-ins to deliver soulless, poorly executed games like Transformers. This one requires you to traipse around an impressively accurate Hogwarts and reach certain objectives. Fights and cut-scenes drive the story forward, and collectable items unlock power-ups. Fans will persevere with the awkward controls, but the hand-waving that makes the Wii title so much fun has inevitably disapparated.
