For a low-priced webcam, the Trust Spacecam 320 makes a pleasant surprise. Video was sharp, even when we blew it up to twice its default size. The video footage we shot was bright with clean and natural colours, without any colour cast - even in low light conditions.

When our test subject made sudden movements, there was momentary blurring onscreen but the image didn't break down and become pixelated.

The bundled software is basic and cheesy. On the other hand, it's simple video capture functions work well as do the rudimentary, but fun, video and picture-editing functions.

The camera is sturdy and well-made - the only thing missing is a clip to hook the camera on to a TFT monitor. The posh Webcam Live Ultra beats it to a Best Buy award, but if you want a camera for video conferencing, the Spacecam is still a great bargain and the deserving winner of a Recommended award.
