Coming in its own little carry case, the Mobile Connect is a tiny cam specifically designed for using on the move, arriving in a cute aluminium carry case. The spring-loaded clip is difficult to attach to the screen but it clings on securely once it's there. Unfortunately that's where the good news ends, since image quality and frame rate were pretty dire. Colour is heavily saturated and rather grainy. There's no microphone integrated either. The USB cable is also ridiculously short, making it difficult to move your camera about, not the best thing in a web cam designed for notebooks. The Digital Studio software is pretty limited as well, consisting only of video capture and E-Card creation: hit the 'Keep in Contact' button and it just launches Microsoft NetMeeting. With so its relatively poor quality and sparse software suite the Mobile connect is one to avoid, particularly at this price.
