LabsBuying a Webcam
Despite being much cheaper than the 380 and sporting an older USB1.1 interface, we much preferred Trust's 320 Spacec@m. Its stand is sturdier, its frame rate is higher, and it has a microphone as well as a snapshot button on the top. The high frame rate comes at the cost of pretty grainy, washed-out images, though. The long cable allows plenty of scope if you want to use it for surveillance. The only software (aside from drivers) that comes with it consists of video and image editing packages from ArcSoft. This is a shame ,as it means you'll need to invest extra cash in some extra software to make it do anything very interesting. Thanks to its incredible price, though the 320 still beats its big brother hands-down. If only it had come with a bit more software, it might have been in the running for a Recommended award, despite slightly iffy image quality. Still, given the price there isn't much to fault.
