The NX is a plain-looking webcam. That's not a bad thing, though - better simple elegance than an over-designed eyesore. It's able to supply video at a decent frame rate, with a maximum resolution of 640x480. The Webcam NX's ingenious stand lets you sit the camera flat on a desk or hook it over the top of notebook or normal flatscreen. The software doesn't have many frills - but everything it does, it does well. You can toggle between two main screens: one dedicated to video capture and still capture, the other for archiving your pictures and clips. For video conferencing, though, you have to rely on Microsoft NetMeeting. The only downside was that the camera doesn't come with a microphone. Still, to get all this for just twenty-five quid is incredible.
