LabsChips With Everything
Intel's budget Celeron processor is basically the same inside as the Pentium 4, except that this 2.2GHz Celeron has a 400MHz front-side bus, compared to the 800MHz FSB used by the latest Pentium 4. It also has just 128K of Level 2 cache, rather than the P4's 512K. The Celeron is a nifty performer, though - and at just £78 excluding VAT, it's decently priced. AMD's Athlon XP 1800+ is just a bit better - and cheaper. If you're building a budget PC but want the option of upgrading to a Pentium 4, the Celeron is a good option. Otherwise, go for the Athlon XP 1800+. SPECIFICATIONS:
2.2GHz processor with Socket 478 connector, 400MHz front-side bus, 20K level 1 cache and 128K level 2 cache Sponsored Links
