If a product wears a Sony badge, you can usually assume it will be pretty decent. At this relatively low price, the Ezee appears to be good value, but it turns out that it's not the best deal around.
At a maxium resolution of 640x480, image quality was slightly lower than that of the Sony Xtra, but frame rates were reasonable, even though the Ezee can't go beyond 25fps. The software bundle was almost the same as the excellent one supplied with the Xtra, sharing the same photo and video editors, though DreamWeaver is absent.
We appreciated the stereo microphone - identical to the one that comes with the Xtra. There's no shutter button, but you can take stills in the software.
Our main dislike was the clumsy suction base, which wouldn't stick to any surfaces at all. It's this, and the less than ideal image quality, that holds the Ezee back in this test.
