Verdict: No relation to that bloke from U2. 3D performance to sate the hungriest gamer.

This machine, like a couple of others here, includes a pair of GeForce 9600GT graphics cards running in an SLI arrangement, almost doubling the graphical power of the system. In our benchmark tests, the Zoostorm's 3D score was a truly stonking 331%.

At 198%, the 2D (general) benchmark results were slightly less impressive compared to a couple of other systems in this group test, but still proved the Zoostorm capable of handling any desktop application with ease. Especially encouraging was the ability to handle complex programs such as video editing suites. Combine the graphics power and the processor's

four cores, and you've got a machine that excels when you demand more.

The screen is a slight disappointment - a 22 inch AMW model that doesn't match the PC's case and was hindered by pale colour reproduction and uneven gradients. Its failings weren't too distracting, but marked it out from the higher quality screens in this group.

The case itself is much better. A gentle curve and brushed metal finish, along with a glossy 'Zoostorm' banner down the front, made it one of the most distinctive this month, although the addition of a door was maybe an instance of form over function. Inside, we found it tidy despite the amount of equipment installed: two graphics cards and a large Glacial Tech heatsink to cool the powerful processor. Wires had been kept out of the way to help airflow, and there's plenty of potential left to add extra storage, although the twin graphics cards do hamper access to the PCI slots.

Issues like the mediocre quality of the monitor and the omission of speakers detract a little from an eminently capable system. But the SLI setup undeniably took the Zoostorm to a stunning graphics benchmark, which means gamers will certainly want to have a look over the Edge.
