Though the Sapphire HD3850 is a great card at a great price, this 8800GT is well worth your consideration. There's an extra 256MB of RAM on it, and though the extra memory didn't quite show its worth in Call of Juarez, it certainly will do with DirectX 10 titles in the near future. Frame rates in our Call of Duty 2 and Prey benchmarks were very impressive. A score of 72.8 in the former was the fastest in the group, better than even the £359 8800GTX could manage. With the EN8800GT you'll be able to run current games at high resolutions and maximum detail settings and still maintain a playable frame rate. Additional testing with recent DX10 titles like Crysis showed it to be noticeably quicker than the Sapphire HD3850. It doesn't have the HD3850's HDMI outputs or audio controller, though, and the price is a substantial £57 higher, so the Sapphire's Best Buy crown is safe. But for serious gamers the EN8800GT is the better choice, and you get a free copy of the excellent game Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts to play on it. SPECIFICATIONS:
