Verdict:
It's good, but not 57 quid good. Some nice features, but not worth the extra.
NTI Backup NOW is similar to many of the other programs here. You pick the files and folders you want to archive, decide where to back them up to, and that's about all you need to do. You can schedule backups if you like, and password protection and various levels of encryption are available.
The program also has a few cool features that distinguish it from its rivals. You can use it to back up files even when they're currently in use, which is unusual, and it can back up all the PCs on your home network, as long as you have the right user names and passwords to hand. Using the NTI log files you can quickly check to see if a back up succeeded or not, which is reassuring if you schedule regular backups and want to know if your latest has succeeded.
This is a good program, but compared to the others in the group it's very expensive, and we wouldn't be inclined to shell out the extra.
