Although the two HPs may look similar, with their sleek white designs, there is a major difference between them: the print engine. The D5160 uses only two cartridges rather than the six of the D7360, which has implications for both its print performance and running costs. Put simply, these tri-colour and photo cartridges won't last anywhere near as long as a full set of six tanks, yet replacing them
Skin tones were very accurate, and our test prints were vibrant and sharp. If we had one complaint it was a slight lack of detail in some darker areas, but that's being picky. Our 6x4-inch photos took just over two minutes each, so it's not a speed demon like the Canons, but documents were a little faster at 3.2ppm, or 14.6ppm in draft mode. The dedicated black cartridge also ensures the text quality is right up there with the Canons, and is actually a bit better then the more photo-focused D7360. It may not quite match the Canon iP5300 for speed or quality, but it does have CD printing and memory card slots, the latter of which can't be boasted by our Best Buy. But if you're willing to spend £70 on a printer, we'd suggest you try and push your budget just that little bit further and go for the Canon iP5300. SPECIFICATIONS:
