LabsInkjet printers
The R360 uses an identical six-ink print engine to the R265, so print quality and speeds are no different - that's to say, they're decent enough without standing out. But the R360 costs £27 more than its smaller sibling, and for this you get a couple of useful additions. The main one is the presence of media card slots on the front, for direct printing from your camera's memory cards. All major formats are supported, including the less common xD-Picture cards, and you can also add an optional Bluetooth adapter for an additional £25 (from www.epson.co.uk) to transfer photos from your mobile phone. Whatever your chosen method of input, the 3.5-inch LCD screen will have your photos organised and printing away in no time, and it's another nice inclusion to justify the extra cost. But we're not convinced that these features add enough to the Stylus Photo R360 to disguise the limitations of the print engine. It's still expensive to run, and the initial purchase price also compares unfavourably with the superb Canon iP5300, so overall we'd give this one a miss. SPECIFICATIONS:
